Katherine Stewart-Jones, from Quebec, had her first Olympic experience at the Beijing 2022 Games, participating in five events. She placed within the top 30 in both the skiathlon and the 30km mass start, and was part of the 4x5km relay team that finished ninth.
Before the Olympics, Stewart-Jones competed for Canada in three senior FIS World Championships, two FIS U23 World Championships, and three FIS Junior World Championships. Her initial major international event was the 2013 Junior Worlds, followed by further appearances in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, at the Canada Winter Games, she won three silver medals in individual events and a gold medal in the women’s relay with Team Quebec.
Stewart-Jones’ first World Cup participation was in 2016 during the Ski Tour Canada. After several close attempts, she scored her first World Cup points in February 2020 by finishing 29th in a 15km classic pursuit race in Trondheim, Norway. She now regularly achieves top 30 finishes in World Cup races.
