Alex Maycock

Alex is a certified exercise physiologist who studied kinesiology at Nipissing University for both his BPHE and MSc degrees. His MSc explored the role of beetroot juice as a potential sport supplement at both sea level and altitude with highly trained cross country skiers.

During his six year tenure at Nipissing University, Alex raced on the varsity cross country running and skiing teams and competed for Canada at the 2019 and 2023 FISU winter World University Games.

Alex is currently pursuing a PhD in exercise physiology at the University of Alberta. His research is exploring the effects of estrogen on neural activity and blood vessels.

Alex enjoys teaching and has lectured in College and University settings. He will be discussing exercise physiology at regular group online sessions, and he will be sharing important ways to adjust your training program to tailor them personally.
