KDP Booster Drill

This drill is done in 3 parts:

1. No Poles

Take a few pole pushes to get started, then kick double pole without actually planting the poles and pushing with them. Ski 3 passes: kick with right leg only, then left leg, then alternate. This should give you a good sense of how effective your leg push tends to be in kick double pole.

2. With Poles, Single Sided Kick

Start using your poles again. Kick Double Pole, but kick off one leg over and over. Make at least one pass each on the left and right leg. Focus of being very dynamic and forceful with each kick.

3. Repeat Step 1

This is your chance to test whether you were able to improve the efficiency of your kick from the first trial.
